Maxpar Fix & Perm Buffer is optimized for a single-step cell fixation, permeabilization, and intercalation. It also facilitates short-term storage of CyTOF® stained samples prior to analysis. It contains both paraformaldehyde and a detergent (saponin). When cells are stained with Intercalator-Ir in Fix and Perm Buffer, the Intercalator-Ir will bind to cellular nucleic acid. This enables single nucleated cells to be identified and distinguished from enucleated cells, debris, and cell doublets.
